Rates

All rates shown include G.S.T and state taxes and Insurances. A deposit of 25 % of the total hire is required at time of booking.
Security Bond
A security bond is required to cover any damage caused to the caravan or motorhome.
The bond is held in the form of credit card pre-approval and will be $1000 for each caravan and/or $2500 for each Motorhome.
The bond is held to cover any damage revealed on an inspection of the caravan or motorhome’s return. In the event that damage has been observed, your credit card will be charged to the value of the repair with a limit of the bond value. A credit card is required for this.
Insurance
The hired caravan/motorhome is insured Australia wide. The insurance excess is equal to the bond value.
Payments
The total hire is to be paid on departure. We accept cash, Visa or Master card.
Cancellations and Early Returns
A cancellation fee of $50 is applicable for all cancellations.
Off-Peak periods – A cancellation fee of 25% of the total hire is applicable for cancellations within four (4) weeks of the booking date.
Peak Periods – A cancellation fee of 25% of the total hire is applicable for cancellations within eight (8) weeks of the booking date.
Multiple caravans on 1 booking – A cancellation fee of 25% of the total hire is applicable for cancellations within eight (8) weeks of the booking date.
Early returns for whatever reason are not refundable. There will be no refund of deposits paid for a no show.
Hire Periods
Our minimum hire periods are 3 days in low season, 4 days on peak weekends & one week during school holiday peak periods, unless otherwise agreed to by Caravan for Hire and subject to availability.
Cleaning
The hire van is to be returned to the hirer Caravan for Hire in a ‘clean and tidy’ condition, taking into account internal packing procedures to avoid damage to inclusions. Failure to do so will incur a charge against your bond. If the Motorhome / Caravan is not cleaned to a satisfactory condition, a cleaning fee will be deducted from your bond at a rate of $60.00 per hour or a maximum of $240.00. (Caravan for Hire Pty Ltd reserves the right to deduct the relevant cleaning fee from the bond if deemed necessary).
Caravans and Motorhomes fitted with toilets must have the toilet cartridge emptied before return or pick-up. Failure to do so will incur a charge against your bond of $50
Late Returns and / or Abandonment
Late returns are charged at $300 per day for caravans and $600 per day for Motorhomes and or loss of bond unless previously arranged and agreed by both the hirer and hiree 48 hours prior to completion of hire period.
If the caravan is abandon the hiree is subject to late fees and all cost for recovery above the value of the bond.
Smoking
Smoking is definitely not permitted in caravans or motorhomes. Caravan or motorhome must not be subjected to camp fire smoke.
Pets
Pets are not permitted inside caravan or motorhomes.
Accidents or Breakdowns
Should an accident occur, notify the hirer (Caravan for Hire Pty Ltd) ASAP. A copy of the policy is available at caravan for hire office.
It is the hirees responsibility to report any accident or incident to the police and obtain a full report.
This includes theft of a caravan or motorhomes.
If there is an accident involving any other vehicle the hiree must obtain the following details:
1. Make and model of other vehicles involved.
2. The full name and address and drivers license number of persons involved.
3. Name and address of any witnesses present.
4. It is the hirees responsibility to ensure that the caravan or motorhome is secure and safe from further damage whilst repairs are taking place.
Any malicious damage to the caravan or motorhome caused by the hiree shall be repaired at the hirees expense. This includes any fees incurred by the hirer (Caravan for Hire Pty Ltd) whilst recovering monies for either replacement or repair of damage caused by the hiree. Malicious damage is not limited to the value of the bond.
Any damage to the tyres and rims, except for fair wear and tear, will be at the cost of the hiree.
The hiree agrees that the hirer (Caravan for Hire Pty Ltd) shall not be liable or accountable for any costs due to inconvenience, theft of any of the equipment or as a result of damage during the period of the hire including but not limited to; meals, flights, car hire, phone calls or any other costs incurred by the hiree.
The hiree agrees that the hirer (Caravan for Hire) shall not be held accountable for any damages to persons and/or property in regards to the hirees use of the caravan or motorhome.
Damage During Hire Period
Any damage occasioned outside wear and tear is to be effected by the hiree or the costs adjusted against the security bond. Caravan for Hire is to be notified if any damage has occurred. Tyres, punctured, blown or shredded are to be replaced prior to returning. Any cost for damages above the bond amount will be met by the hiree. Vinyl flooring is easily damaged when goods are stored on the floor. Care must be taken to pack suitcases, eskys and the like to prevent sliding and tilting which may cause damage to timberwork or flooring. The hiree is responsible for the equipment that is hired and is not permitted to sub-let the equipment to any other parties.
Restricted Areas
NO CARAVAN or MOTORHOME may be used for any off bitumen road travel.
NO CARAVAN or MOTORHOME may be taken across creeks or rivers
NO CARAVAN or MOTORHOME may be taken over damaged roads where the caravan or motorhome may be at risk.
Braking Systems, Electrical Connections & Lights
All caravans have electric brakes. It is the hiree’s responsibility to have an electric brake controller fitted to their vehicle. All caravans have a standard twelve (12) pin flat plug. It is the hiree’s responsibility to ensure that all lights including indicator lights, brake lights, clearance lights and tail lights are working correctly and functioning while connected to the tow vehicle.
The hiree agrees that the hirer (Caravan for Hire Pty Ltd) shall not be liable or accountable for any costs due to equipment failure or damage
Gas Cylinders
Gas cylinders must be returned full.
Loading and Vehicle compatibility
It is the responsibility of the hiree to ensure that their tow vehicle and tow bar has specifications, as issued by the manufacturer, capable of towing the selected caravan.
If on arrival to pick-up the caravan you do not comply it will be regarded as a “No Show”
Driver Qualifications
The hiree and/or driver must be over the age of 25 years and hold a current full driver’s licence issued in Australia.
The hiree and/or driver must hold full comprehensive insurance for the tow vehicle.
The hiree and/or driver must insure the towing vehicle is registered according to state laws.
The hiree and/or driver agrees not to tow the Caravan or drive the Motorhome whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The hiree and/or driver must obey all state and national road laws. The Driver shall be accountable for any damage or costs associated by failing to obey with these laws.
The hiree and/or driver must not have been refused any motor vehicle insurance.
The hiree and/or driver must not have been found guilty of any driving offences, including driving under the influence of drugs or over the legal limit of alcohol in the last 5 years.
Hire Agreement
The hiree by signing the agreement confirms and agrees that he/she has read the above terms and conditions and understands and agrees fully with these conditions.
The hiree agrees that he/she is fully aware of the correct procedures for using all of the equipment supplied and that the equipment is in good working condition upon commencement of the hire period.
The hiree agrees that the equipment will be used solely for its intended use
